Calling all retailers, manufacturers, collectors, sorters and graders of the Vancouver region - please join us Nov. 2nd for Leverage CAMP where we will engage in collaborative action towards apparel waste diversion.

Textile waste is now estimated to be the fastest growing waste stream in North America. Locally our landfills are full, our policymakers are looking to make changes and we are ready to collaboratively transform the industry.

Come learn how your businesses can discover new revenue opportunities from apparel waste and get ahead of the curve. Additionally, come help us push the boundaries of what business can accomplish for our communities and the environment.

We pulled together over 25 different organizations to learn and advise policymakers on any upcoming policy changes and developed a white paper surrounding this topic. The paper is titled: Reducing Apparel waste to Disposal: An industry perspective. In it, we've mapped out the stocks and flows and have pointed directly at the challenges and potential opportunities and now we'd like to share with YOU what we've learned.

Leverage CAMP is for anyone in the textile industry or who has a stake in or is impacted by the textile supply chain. We will be giving you all access to the soon-to-be-released White Paper and will be walking you through some of our learnings. Additionally, we will explore how a collaborative process like Leverage Lab could help us achieve greater levels of apparel waste diversion in the future and who might be interested in joining.

This White Paper will help your business identify areas to:

  • turn your apparel waste into a resource
  • cut costs and improve practices and competitiveness
  • be acknowledged as an innovative brand
  • recruit and retain top talent
  • join the circular economy
  • push the boundaries of what business can accomplish for our communities and the environment

Together with our friends and allies, we will then celebrate the work we have done to date, with a Beverage Lab.

3:00-5:00 - Apparel industry stakeholders learn Whitepaper discoveries and workshop collaborative next steps

5:00-7:00 - Networking Social Beverage Lab to celebrate success and learn about next steps - all welcome
